Melamine MDF
Melamine MDF is a type of engineered wood product that combines MDF with a decorative melamine laminate surface. This laminate layer is created by applying paper impregnated with melamine resin to the MDF, resulting in a smooth and durable surface. Melamine MDF is popular for its attractive appearance, ease of maintenance, and versatility. It is widely used in furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, shelving, and interior design due to its ability to mimic different wood grains and patterns while providing a durable and easy-to-clean finish.
Laminates (HPL)
High-Pressure Laminate is a versatile and durable decorative surface material commonly used in a wide range of applications, including furniture, countertops, wall panels, and more. HPL is made by compressing multiple layers of paper with thermosetting resins under high pressure and temperature. These layers are then bonded to a core material, such as particleboard or MDF, creating a sturdy and resilient surface. HPL is known for its resistance to wear, scratches, impact, and moisture, making it a popular choice for both residential and commercial projects. It comes in a variety of colors, patterns, and textures, allowing for diverse design possibilities.
MDF
Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product composed of wood fibers, wax, and resin compressed and heated to create a dense and smooth panel. MDF boards are commonly used in woodworking and interior design for their consistency, flat surface, and easy customization, making it a preferred choice for various applications, including furniture, cabinetry, and wall panels. MDF's versatility, affordability and sustainability makes it an ideal choice for both professional woodworkers and DIY enthusiasts.
Edge Banding / Lipping
Edge banding is a protective and decorative material applied to the exposed edges of panels and boards, such as MDF or plywood. It enhances the visual appeal, adds durability, and shields the edges from damage, making it a common choice in furniture and cabinetry applications. Edge banding is commonly used in cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, and interior design to create a seamless and attractive finish for a variety of surfaces, including shelves, tabletops, and cabinet doors. It is available in a wide range of colours, textures, and widths to accommodate different design preferences and functional requirements.
